Pre and Post Op Tips

Hello!

2 weeks ago I had a full zipper cut Hysterectomy. I already was eating healthy but stepped it up a notch a few weeks before surgery.

I did a juice cleanse and did a lot of juicing and ate salads for a week to clean my system out. I ate super light, nothing heavy, no beef or chicken or any foods that are hard to digest. You will get constipated and I found that doing what I did helped make this a lot easier! Once I was home, I took an all natural product called, Intestinal Mover by Microbe Formulas and had no issues with constipation.

I used Colloidal silver wound gel and now a Colloidal Silver cream and my incision is looking great! My Dr did approve of my using it.

Night shirts are my friend! Can't stand anything on my incision which goes from my belly button to my pelvic bone.

Knowing that I had problems with anesthesia and pain meds, I told the Dr and they prescribed a script for a patch behind my ear and also gave me something in the iv drip. If you do this, it will save you from being sick and possibly having to stay in the hospital longer.

I also asked a Functional Medicine Dr about what I could do to get the anesthesia out of my system quicker. I had issues with it once before during a surgery and didn't want to feel bad for months after again. I also dosed up on all my supplements like Vit c, d, B, zinc etc.

I seemed to be handling things okay considering it could have been cancer but the day of while they were poking and prodding me getting me ready, I couldn't hold back the tears. I felt extremely emotional .

They also had to give me more anesthesia and they gave me Fentanyl because I was crying and moving a lot while I was supposed to be under.

My Dr is against belly binders and I did not have one. They gave me a pillow at the hospital and I am still trying to figure out who designed it because it doesn't make a lot of sense. Wish I could send a pic!

I hope I didn't forget anything and hope this helps someone out there!
