Sick a week and 1/2 before my scheduled surgery!!!!!!

Here I am a week and a 1/2 until my surgery... trying to control my nerves and I think I have come to terms with the upcoming surgery... preparing the house, the kids, work with all that needs to be done and it hit me yesterday... sore throat.... woke up this morning feeling awful with a stuffy head/ nose. Do I wait it out and keep my date??? I know if I am sick they can't do the surgery but is 1.5 weeks enough time to get over this?

I am just frustrated! Not how I wanted to spend the last week or so before surgery - I think my dh is dissapointed too as I am sure he was wishing to get 6 weeks worth of "time" in!!! LOL

So what do you think... do I wait this out or reschedule now?

Call your doc's office. You probably have plenty of time to get over it, as long as you dont get sicker! But, call the doc, see if they will recommend something you can take.

I also have been sick for a week and my surgery is October 9th. I talked to my doctor and he said as long as I didn't have a fever or coughing up a lung he would go ahead with the surgery. Hope we get all better soon running out of time.
