Re: SVH without laparoscope
My mom had her hysterectomy without the aid of the laperscope four years ago. Shortly after surgery, she noticed a pain on her right side. To this day it still bothers her. She thinks that the doctor may have cut or bumped something, ie the bladder, and didn't realize it. Not trying to scare you by any means. I had my hyster done with the scope and have had issues with my bladder. My doc told me that because of the endometreosis all my stuff was stuck together and there was some dissecting in that area to be able to remove everything. I guess, in my opinion, I would have to ask why they don't use the scope. Can't hurt to ask.
And remember to relax. If your doctor doesn't feel this is the best or the right way to cure you, he wouldn't have suggested it.
