I live in Yuma AZ and for fibroid reasons and much bleeding have been recommended a TVH. It's currently scheduled for Aug 9.

Good luck. Mine was due to fibroids as well. I'm 16 months out and feel better than I have in a really long time.

Thank you for organizing this AZ group!
I am 48, soon 49...and my LAVH is scheduled for August 9. I am very nervous about it, like many other women.
I have large fibroids and I was surprised when my surgeon told me I was still a candidate for laparoscopically assisted surgery!

My surgeon has a lot of experience with LAVH and I was very comfortable with him right away. I know that I have fibroids since 1999 and that surgery might become necessary. Until this year I was managing fine but since June my periods became much heavier and longer (3 weeks) with a lot of pain. That's the reason I choose not to wait menopause and get a LAVH.
