LSH in 1.5 weeks Yikes!

Hi everyone,

I'm beginning to get very nervous about my LSH surgery coming up Nov 1st. I've never had surgery before for anything, so this is the unknown to me. The part about surgery that really scares me is the thought of being put under anesthesia. I was glad to find this forum in hopes to get some reassuring words from women who have had this procedure.

Re: LSH in 1.5 weeks Yikes!

My LSH is Dec 5th. I've had surgery twice- my laparoscopic gallbladder surgery and a laparoscopy to sort out my endometriosis. I came out just fine from both! It's not fun to think about going under but honestly it's not bad. You just fall asleep and wake up. You have no awareness of time. The anesthesiologist can really be your best friend! Give them all the info you can about you. They are there to take care of you. I always tell them i have a sensitive tummy for example so they know to put something extra in my mix for nausea. I'm actually dreading the recovery more than the surgery itself, but I am hopeful and confident that I will feel better in the long run! My hope is the same for you dear! Best wishes!
