Such an embarrasing question...

Okay ladies. I have read really great responses to "After Sex".....Great to hear it all works after!!!
But here is my question and my face is blushing just typing it.....how about fingering? Have any of you asked your DH if it "feels" different inside? I do know he can generally feel the cervix but what about after the TAH?
I will be so afraid of anything entering the vajay jay...makes me hurt just thinking about it....help me understand this one please.

Re: Such an embarrasing question...

My husband said it now felt "smooth"...don't know exactly what that means, but I am assuming that since there isn't a cervix "bump" anymore that it is just smooth.

It doesn't hurt to put anything in there now, well, for me it has been awhile since my TVH, but you should be fine.

Re: Such an embarrasing question...

My doctor said it will feel like the toe of a tube sock haha! Just no speed bumps in there. But he said the gspot stays and everything else is just as it was

Re: Such an embarrasing question...

Hi Hawkipa

There's no need to feel embarrassed. Many of us have had the same questions about sex after a hysterectomy.

My husband said it felt no different afterward, even though I had my cervix removed. As for fingers and hands, it's important that you get your doctor's clearance to do anything sexual after surgery--even "outercourse." Sexual arousal and orgasm send an increased blood flow through tissue that is still healing, and some women need to be on complete pelvic rest. And absolutely nothing should go in the vagina until the doctor says it's okay.

I was a bit nervous about resuming sex, but that didn't last long.

Re: Such an embarrasing question...

Hey trust me all of us have asked many questions....don't be scared to ask anything here! : ) My hubby said he felt nothing different. I waited until dr gave us the all clear at 8 weeks...I was painful for me the first few times...then I was okay after that. Everyone is different though. Good luck....

Re: Such an embarrasing question...

Once you've been given the ok, you can always try and feel for yourself and see how it feels! I'm not there yet, but I can't imagine it would feel gross or anything, and it is what it is and we can't change it anyways.

Good luck!
