Re: How do you get others to understand your worries?

A couple of days before I went in for surgery I finally voiced my fears to my husband. I said I am scared, what if they find something else? His response, whatever happens, we will handle it together. He said he hadn't brought it up because He didn't know if I wanted to talk about it. He was protecting me in his own way.

When we got home from the hospital, he hung his head and said he had no idea how nervous and worried he had been.. He was more exhausted than I was!

Today's our anniversary and maybe I'll at least put on a sundress and some eyeliner

Thank you so much. Maybe that is what I need to do. Just tell him what I need from him instead of waiting for him to tell me.

He is being wonderful about taking care of everything and wants to do everything he can for me. Thank you for your positive words. God Bless!

This is one of the better tips for handling your relationship pretty much at any time. It's almost always better to just be up front about what you want and need. Don't expect your significant other to read your mind, it's not fair to either of you.
