Bag call your DR don't mess around. If there is onething that you do not need is an infection especially a MRSA or staph. Call or go in. Good luck.

It feels like forever since I've checked in. I too am having some pain near the incision and itchiness there as well. I seem to swell more on the right hand side. I think the pain is being caused by me doing more stretching. I've been painting a room and reaching up to move the paint roller is very tiring! We also moved a fridge and other furniture and I could tell that while I"m definitely getting back to my old self, I still have to take it easy. My stomach can still be tender by the end of the day.... if I lean up against a table edge or something similar, it plain hurts! But no pus or infection. If I did I think I'd speak to my doc about it just to see if there's anything else I should be putting on it!

Hope everyone's summer is starting up well! Our garden is doing well, we've signed the contract for the new fence and as I said, we're renovating a room to turn it into a downstairs office. Our current office is upstairs and gets VERY hot in the summer... plus this way we're using an unused room as the office and get a guest room back! So far I haven't gotten to partake in any summer activities like kayaking, beaching, and the like but I DID enjoy the warm weather in FL and am REALLY enjoying my new job! Lots of things to learn, always things to do and its a really nice company! Yay.

Hi, all. Bagpuss, sorry to hear you're having problems with the incision again. I'd definitely go to the doc.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Hello everyone. Thankyou for your support. I went back to the docs yesterday. I have a very small part of my scar that wont heal properly and fills with pus. Sorry folks TMI I know. Anyway if this continues they will have to cut me but only in that place to allow proper healing and granulation from the bottom. If it fills up I will have to encourage the pus to come out. Sorry it isn't very nice hope nobody is eating their tea or breakfast! It is a very very small area and apart from that I feel so well. I will probably post on the main board to see if anyone else has experienced this. I hope everyone is doing well and I'm so glad that we still have this forum to post on. Byee and hugs Bagpuss not pus I hope!

Happy 4th to anyone who celebrated yesterday! We had a beautiful day and I worked in the yard. Have been almost EVERY day that I have some time and my incision area, while tender on the right hand side, is doing better and better. I am still careful about lifting heavy things and find that lots of bending and standing up can cause some discomfort. But nothing bad.

Bagpuss I'm glad you went to the doc to have them take a look. Better safe than sorry. My incision is still a nasty dark red and I can't imagine it fading but my DP's scar, from about 3 years ago has faded so much we can't even SEE it! So I'm hoping.

My new job is going well. Much less stress, much nicer and more considerate people to work with, and I love being creative at work instead of crunching numbers all day!

Hope everyone who's dealing with the heat (those of you down in the southwest) are keeping cool, and those of you in TX dealing with the deluge of rain are managing to stay dry. We've had one heat wave but temps stayed right around 100 and it wasn't all that humid so we managed. Seems we're quieting down on this thread, but I"m glad people still stay in touch! I've got a wedding to sing at next weekend so am busy working on the music for that. Then my summer is basically my own! Yay!

Hoping everyone had a safe and fun 4th - I was able to wear white and jump in the lake with eveyone else for the first time in years. I hope things go well with the scar healing up - I know mine took forever to fully close and I had a few spots like those. On the Wedding scene I hope that eveything goes well on the big day

My daughter gets married this Saturday 7/7/07 so we are pretty excited. Down to the wire on finishing her dress and I think we're going to be burning the midnight oil. Other than that the 4 th went great. Mother Nature is showing some fireworks of her own right now. Love it. Well, have a good evening and I feel GREAT!
