I too started suffering after my tubal. For all of you who are scared or upset about the hyster, I am 46 and have been suffering for over 15 years. The last year it became almost unbearable. I know it scares you all to have a hyster so young but I waited because I didn't want the surgery and regret I wasted so many years in pain. I am 11 days post op and feel wonderful. The first of the month was always a nightmare for me and the last few months, this week would have been constant pain and once my period started, I would be in bed for 2 days. Now that I have had the hyster - NO MORE PAIN. A few twinges from my incisions (had LAVH/BSO) and some hot flashes (but I had those before surgery). I wish you all the best on your surgeries and trust me, you will be a lot happier when it is over. Get it done now so you can enjoy the rest of your life, hopefully pain free.

Adeno with pain & fever
I was diagnosed on Friday with Ando. Dr said my uterus was inflamed and infected. She put me on antibiotics for 2 full weeks and Ponstel for pain and cramping. She said I should not be that swollen and tender. No kidding
My stomach is still swollen and it hurts to wear pants. I still have a slight fever. She did not discuss any options that might fix the problems that I have been having from it the past 3 years. She said the body has a way of repairing itself. She's not the one who feels like crap everyday!!! I'm beginning to lose faith in her abilities to give me proper care.

Find another doctor. I went through about 4 gyns before I found one who would listen. It's your body and you feeling the pain. If they don't listen or don't give you the answers you want, move on. There are thousands of doctors. It gets frustrating sometimes, expecially if you have questions and can't get answers but hang in there. You will be okay! Women are tough and you can make it through this - this website is wonderful to help you through.

Adenomyosis and Pain!!
Hi Ladies, I had a tah on Jan 18th for andenomyosis. My dr. found endometrosis on my left ovary and he decided he could cut it out and then I could keep my ovaries and have my hormones and be happy. Not the case I realised something wasn't right a few weeks post op. I was having left sided pain that wasn't related to my healing pains. So, he ordered a ct and it came back fine. So I waited all this time with pain to see if it was healing pain and I was wrong or what was going on? I saw him again he said since I was still in pain it wasn't normal and he thinks my endo. is back. And I will probably need a bso soon. AAARRRHHH!! The tah surgery and recovery are okay yes, you will have pain but just do what you're ordered to do and walk it's so important to walk! Don't overdue it though. The gas was the worst I know you're probably thinking gas is nothing but it is worse than normal gas. Walking will help you relieve the gas pains. And drink alot of water it helps with the constipation from surgery and the pain meds. Take care ladies and just because I had this problam don't let it scare you. Many woman have no problams at all. Just had to vent and I seen you all have adenomysosis so you know what I already went through.

Adenomyosis and Pain!!
Wow! I had no idea so many people felt like me! What a relief but it's also kind of scary that so many of us are probably dealing with a drug addiction on top of everything else! I couldn't imagine getting by without my pain meds. Over the counter stuff is completely useless. The pain is so bad sometimes. I can't believe I've been putting up with it this long. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis in Feb. and endo too. I have good days and bad days. My lower back aches a lot of the time. When I'm getting my period or during my period I'm totally reliant on my pain meds to get me through. I'm quite certain I'm too dependent even though I'm very careful. It's hard not to take a pill when you're in pain just because you don't want to become addicted. Such a catch-22 and so unfair.
Good luck and keep us posted. I'm scheduling my hyst. for mid-November and after last week's period pain I can't wait!

Adenomyosis and Pain!!
I never realized that I could be on pain meds!!! I haven't really been suffering I guess until Jan of this year is when it came back with a vengence - I was diagnosed last year with just a thicker than normal uterus so I was put on Yasmin BC pill (which was bad since I had my tubes tied 7 yrs ago to get off the pill) My hys is scheduled for May 17th but I am getting worse everyday - the back pain and all over pain in my abdomen is really bad.
Is anyone else just really sick to their stomach with this???? I didn't know if this would affect your stomach but I have been having really sharp pains in my stomach and feeling very nausious (sp). Can anyone else relate or is that not part of this condition??

Adenomyosis and Pain!!
clairebear-
I never new that pain meds were an option either. I have been using motrin. My stomach is extremely bloated and tender along with all the right side pain. I am scheduled for a TAH with RSO the day before you have surgery. Hang in there. You've made it this long; only a few more weeks to go. I am scared too. But, everyone here has been so supportive and has made the anxiety level drop a couple notches. Hugs to you!

Its nice to know that others have the same symptoms - I don't feel so bad knowing that others feel the same as I do. Good luck to you on your day and lets hope this takes the pain away.

It is comforting when you realize you are not alone in your pain. Somehow it makes you feel like "hey, I am not crazy afterall"
I have adeno, endo (stage 3) and pelvic congestion (vericose veins in my uterus) The back pain is constant!! I did have a lap last May to work on removing endo but it is time to remove the uterus. I have scheduled surgery on Aug 20th. My kids get out of school mid may and we have several trips planned and do not want them spending summer vacation looking at mom recover. This way they will be back in school for 1 week. The wait will be agonzing but I am getting a lot of great ideas for the hospital stay and lot of great questions to ask my doc. from all of your postings.
I have to admit the thing I am most scared about surgery is the ansthesia and risk of blood clots. I know the risk is minimal but it freaks me out completely if I allow myself to think about it. I try to remind myself that I will be getting rid of the DAILY pain. Good luck to all.
