Talking - What odd or quirky behavior do your pets have? What odd or quirky behavior do your pets have?

Gee, and I thought my kitties were weird! I am just ROTFL here reading some of these!

My tuxedo cat, Tasz, has had a penchant for the hanging light chains off the ceiling fans - he'll jump 4 feet up off the bed to snag it and then turn the lights on (300 watts of light in the middle of the night was only funny ONCE! We shortened the chains after that.)

Our solid black "moose", (he's a big boy!), Frisco, loves to be turned round and round in the kitchen chairs that swivel. The faster and more you do it (like a kid on a merry go round!), the happier he is. Goofy cat. Loves being spun the opposite direction too - but DH says that is only cuz he's already fuzzy-brained!

Both the boys give 'kisses' for treats - and they know how to count - I'll say "Give me a kiss," and they will and I'll give them a treat. Then I tell them "Give me 2 (or 3, or 4 or 5) kisses" and they will! (They won't do it for DH though! ;-)
Sounds goofy, but it makes me happy!

Mabb hasn't done it in awhile, but when she was little, she liked to curl up in the bathroom sink. She's a long-hair and just until recently, we didn't have central h/a. I guess the porcelain sink cooled her down!

The kitten Oonagh has a new thing. She has figured out that the kitchen floor is the best floor to knock things around, so she will snag small items from upstairs, either carry or knock them all the way downstairs, just to bat them around in the kitchen. So far, she has stolen letters from an old printer's tray, and the wings that had broken off a figurine.

Wonder who broke the angel

figurine to begin with, to get those wings to play with?!

Wanna have some fun? Get a pingpong ball and give it to a cat on a non-carpeted surface!

Quirky pets

My cat (who is almost 2 yrs old) will only drink out of a cylindrical flower vase...

cylindrical flower vase

"Will you be having roses or daisies this evening, Mr Cat? May I show you our vintage list?"

I'd love to see a picture of a cat drinking out of a flower vase. (Mine prefer the toilet)

One of my ex-boyfriends (many, many years ago) had a huge Oscar fish in a large (50 gallon) tank -- his Siamese cat used to drink from the back of the tank where the water filter was at. All that fish could see is the pink tongue splashing below the water line. We knew it was coming and sure enough...one night the Oscar grabbed that cat and pulled him all the way to the bottom of the tank! (Fortunatley cat was ok except for his wounded pride!)

You know, the funniest thing about Oonagh and the old typeface. The printer's tray is hangs on the wall about 4 1/2 feet off of the floor, and the slot with the typface letters is probably 5 1/2 feet high in all. I'm still trying to figure out how the little brat got them in the first place! That baby can fly!

My Tasz used to jump 4 -4 & 1/2 feet to get the ceiling fan light pull...he still can jump about 3-4 feet after moths on the sliding glass door in the dining room...not bad for a 4 year old cat. Wish I could jump just a couple of inches w/o everything hurting! (or the risk of breaking something as I'm notorious klutz!)
