American Idol is back! (2008)

moonmab - -ditto on everything you said!

Yea, I think Jason was relieved to be voted off. Almost like he was trying for it the last couple weeks. I think he got into it and then realized it was too much for him. He made the comment about having to learn 3 songs for the next show, and not sure what he would do.

I agree with what the others said......I caught the comment about not sure he'd be able to learn 3 songs by next week. Wondeing how he's going to manage when they take the top 10 on the Idol Tour?!?

Jason does seem VERY immature. He was sort of just clowning around on the stage when they started the show. Several times the camera caught him NOT singing with that silly grin and humming as if he forgot the words. Oh and then there was the fact that he didn't know the steps to the dance routine. I want to hear how the top 3 felt about him as a contestant when this is all done. I am betting he was a frustration to them in rehearsals.

By the way, Jason is an alumni of Texas A&M. How do you come out of college and be that immature?

Jason is only 20 so I don't think that he's graduated from college yet. He did mention his inexperience. I hope that he works harder in the future; he has a nice voice.
I think that one of the David's ( hopefully David C, I think that David A needs more experience too; everything he sings sounds the same to me ) will win but I'm still pulling for Syesha.

The reason I mentioned Jason and A&M is because they did a big news story here in central TX. about how ALL of Aggieland was voting for him, because it was his alma mater. Maybe he was simply enrolled there, but I would still question his maturity level at the age of 20. He acts younger than David A.

I am very disappointed this season. I won't be watching the finale'. Good luck to whichever David wins.

I am rooting for David Cook. He is so good, and is versatile with the types of songs he can sing. David A is good, but does the same style of song every week. I do like the girl, brain fog makes me forget her name at the moment!! LOL. And thank God Jason is gone. He was a joke.

I am hoping Sayesha will get a contract with a Broadway producer and soon! I'm glad she won't be trapped in an AI contract--even for a year. I think AI basically ruined Fantasia's voice (I have a feeling the performers have to sing whatever songs are selected for them that first year.) Sayesha is a marvelous talent. I think she can do any part on Broadway! Hmmm, maybe Fantasia would hook her up!

I am sure Sayesha already has a contract. Honestly, I think coming out on top in AI can hinder you. You get locked into their 1 year deal and I agree that you end up having to sing "their songs". Look at Kelly Clarkson. Her style of music and sound changed DRASTICALLY once her year was up. It was like she could breath again. Yeah they helped get her out there, but I bet it felt like taking off shoes you have worn ALL DAY when she finally got cut loose from her contract with them.

I am looking forward to the finale, but I am BETTING it won't be much of a competition.

Am I the only one who was a little disappointed with Fantasia last night?
