Back home - physical part not so bad, emotional part tough

Hi HysterSisters,

I am home from the castle.

Like I said in the title, the physical part was not so bad; I feel like it's the emotional part (mostly fear, anxiety) that have made things the most tough. I am hoping that with each day I will feel more confident.

If I can do it, You can do it!

Good morning Rainbow

Very glad to hear it wasn't a physically bad as you had anticipated. Did you have an incision or vaginal hyster? Emotions can definately do it to you. I like to call it brain drain. Now it's time for the princesses pampering. I am on the countdown to my date of the 17th. Wish it was overwith already, ugh! Take care and lots of rest Cris

It's good to hear that you're home and doing well. I hope that as you heal your fears will ease also. I know that mine did and I was an emotional mess at first
Take care, go slow and easy. Get some princess pampering

Thanks for the support, everyone!

I am feeling much better emotionally now, and I continue to do great physically -- knock on wood Minimal pain and no bleeding. What a relief. I also was very worried about post-op infection, but hopefully I am past that high risk period now.

Also, part of my difficulty was going home only 23 hours after the lap hyst. I don't think the general anesthesia had totally worn off, because I barely remember that first day home. Good thing I had someone to look after me.

Overall, I feel SO GRATEFUL.

Sending well wishes to all!

Nap time now...

Welcome home! Glad to hear all is well! I was out in 22 hours after my lap hyst too! Although I was quite awake! Everyone is different though! Take it easy - drink lots! listen to your body ! It knows what's best for you! Be well!
