Date upped a week!

I was set for Feb. 3rd but am now set for this Thursday the 27th. Right now I am so ready! I woke yesterday in such pain and was bleeding so heavily I want this thing out of me! Right now my fiance is more worried than I am - I'm seeing signs of relief and a normal life ahead and a happy healthy marriage in my future. I'm sure Thursday (or sooner) a bit of a panic will set in. Just so scared of the pain. But that only lasts so long, right? Had my pre-op visit with my doc yesterday and went in with my list of questions. Thanks ladies! I sat in her office for an hour with my fiance and went through it all. Keeping my ovaries as of now, but I gave release that if she finds anything that can cause me future problems with doing that then remove them. She's worried about endometriosis and adhesions. Not sure what she'll find - hoping that my uterus is just not playing nice all on it's own. Want to thank everyone here for posting and supporting. Has really helped a lot of my worries, sadness and fears.

Kathryn, that is exciting that you got your date moved up! In a way it's nice because now you have less time to panic too. I had my TAH last week and had the same situation as you with the ovaries. Fortunately, everything in me was confined to the uterus and my ovaries were perfectly fine. Hopefully you will have the same luck.

I have to tell you that even though I have the post surgical pain and discomfort, it still feels GREAT to have that big thing out of me! Everyone is right when they say the waiting is the worst part. Good luck to you....it will be here before you know it.
