While I do not use HRT as I kept my ovaries, I have a couple thoughts to share with you as I am also an endo gal!
First, are you seeing an
endometriosis specialist? An endo specialist typically is the most skilled at removing endo from our bodies, but they also tend to know the best treatment options. And if you have not had a second medical opinion, it is a good idea to have one before any major surgery.
Since you have endo, it is also very important that your doctor be knowledgeable regarding endo and the effects of HRT on endo.
I am a bit concerned that your doctor is suggesting an implanted form of HRT since you do have endo. Estrogen feeds endo. Since endo can be very microscopic in nature, it can be missed during surgery. Or, if you have a situation such as mine, endo can be intentionally left behind due to the risks of removing it.
If you have HRT implanted, and your endo flares up, it would seem to me that it will be more difficult to stop your HRT.
Neither a hyst nor a BSO is a cure for endometriosis. Unfortunately, endo can be very resilient and it is impossible to know ahead of time if you will be who has endo that just keepings on going!
I did do an internet search and there are sites regarding this choice of HRT. However, I am not turning up much info regarding women with endo who have used this particular product.
Definitely understand why your doctor is suggesting this form of HRT for you and when you will start it. Many doctors suggest waiting anywhere from weeks to 6 months before starting HRT, hoping any remaining endo will starve in the interim.
Also, when HRT is suggested for endo patients, it is typically in a limited form, very minimum dose, and progesterone can be given to help balance the estrogen.
