Valentine's Princess home from the castle...

Hi Ladies!
I have survived. I had my surgery on Valentine's Day this week. Came home last night, and still had not eaten anything. Everytime I attempted too I had to vomit.
So I have to say It wasnt that bad. I had a LAH and I guess that they took everything out through my vagina. EEWW
So far the pain has not been that bad, I think the worst part is recovering from the anesthesia. It is awful. When they woke me up from surgery I couldnt breathe so they had to give me breathing treatments, and then put me on oxygen which really dried my mouth out. That was scary, not being able to tell them that you can't breathe. Just pointing to my chest, which is still sore from laboring to breathe.
Just finally was able to eat this afternoon and keep it down, had a bowl of cereal. That helped alot with the headache and nausea. My incisions really don't even hurt, just have a sore belly.
My only concern is that the leakage from "down there" is really smelly.
I guess it is probably normal, I don't know. I plan to ask my doctor at my post-op.
I hope that you all are doing well.
Thanks for the sister support!

Hi confused1977,
I didn't have the same surgery as you did but I have heard that the leakage is smelley, that seems to be normal. I am glad that you are able to eat now. Take care of yourself and be a good little

Congratulations on getting through to this side! The odour is probably normal if you have only just got back from the castle, nurses would have noticed if it was wrong, but you could ring to check to save worrying.
Keep resting.

So glad to see one of the VDay princesses return home. Sorry you had a scary time in recovery, but glad to see you are doing well at home. The odor is "normal" from what I've been told, but keep a close eye on it to make sure it's not from an infection. Call the doc if you are concerned - especially since you're coming up to the weekend (don't want to sit and worry all weekend).
