Mag citrate

I have to do extensive bowel prep for my big day tommorrow and started at 7:00 this morning.
I am now drinking the mag citrate about an hour ago and OMG!!!
I was silly enough to drink broth first, and I got the cherry mag cit. Man this flavor is horrible..I highly reccommend if you find another you get it.
My second one is lemon....we will see how it goes

That is strange that you have to do that so early. It seems that all DR's are different. Mine told me that if I wanted to, I could use an enema. She said it might help me a little afterwards for constipation but she said it was up to me it didn't matter either way to her. She is very cool, I think I will do the enema, it sure sounds more pleasurable than the alternatives.

Ahhh I am on a pure clear liquid diet today with 2 8oz mag citrates before 2:00 pm. Then at 4:00 I start enemas till clear. Absolutly nothing to pass my lips after midnight, she said not even a breath mint! LOL
I am having to be cut vertically and everything explored for lesions however, so I can understand why she wants me all clean....just wish there was a better way..lol

i used the cherry mag cit...put LOTS of ice in it....helps a little

I've only had the lemon ones. I can't do those, I throw them up right after I drink it.

All I can find here are lemon ones too..not looking forward to those little gems.

I cant recall drinking them before, but I certainly feel more like throwing up than going to the loo.

I have dreaded this day more than I do the actual surgery I think...now Im living it and dont like it....

My TAH/BSO is tomorrow, and I was instructed to drink my Mag Citrate at 5pm today (that's now). I have the lemon one, which the hospital gave me at my preop appointment earlier this week. I'm sitting here with my glass of ice, about to go for it....Yuk!

Ok, About 20 minutes later I'm finished! It wasnt as bad as I thought (OK, not pleasant....but do-able). Now I can have a light dinner (they suggested a brothy soup, which is what I'm having), and then the enema at 9pm.
