Getting prepared for my surgery mar 21 having the robotic surgery however because of having an enlarged uterus may have to have the abdominal

feeling anxious and cannot sleep

It is wild when you prepare for DvH surgery yet have the hint that it could change depending on if the uterus. Being nervous along feeling anxious can happen especially when an unknown might be faced. In my case, my surgery could have changed to a TAH for the same reason. Fortunately, they were able to keep everything as scheduled.

Anticipating any complications would be hard. Perhaps something to keep in mind are positive thoughts. Do something fun today for… you. You are going to be recovering from major surgery not matter the scenario. Your doctor and nurses will provide you with any pain medications along with checking on you before you are released from the hospital.

I will be 3 weeks post op tomorrow from a LAVH. My uterus was more than twice the size of a normal uterus and my dr was able to remove it vaginally. I'm sending positive thoughts and hugs your way that the same will work for you. And if not well there is a whole lot of support and advice right here on this amazing site! You'll do great tomorrow. Just make sure to follow dr's orders and TAKE IT EASY! 💗💗

Hi there! Just had my LAVH about 4 hours ago and am in my room at the hospital. Zero pain. No problems. I'm groggy and needed Phenergan for nausea post op but so far so good!

Note...the food here is pretty dang good too!

All of your feelings, nerves, fears and anxiety are completely normal. The doctors and nurses will take very good care of you, and they will monitor you closely. Probably at no other time are you the center of such attention.

I had a 10 cm fibroid and a 10 cm cyst and I was able to avoid an abdominal!
