Worried and Frustrated

Hello. I need some advice. I have had many troubles for over 10 years now. I have had laproscopic surgery several times to clear ovarian cysts and endometriosis. Now my uterus is flipped and pushing into my bladder 1/4 inch and creating havoc with my bowels during my cycle. My last CT scan showed more ovarian cysts and now cysts on my liver and kidneys. So far all cysts have been benign. THANKS BE TO GOD! I have blood in my urine but nothing found wrong with bladder. The urologist seems to think it has to be endo on bladder or the way my uterus is pushing on bladder. But now...my gyno doesn't seem to "care" about these findings. Do you think its time for me to find a NEW gyno? Seems to me my gyno would want to find out if I really did have endo on my bladder and remove it. I have been denied hysterectomy several times because of my young age. Each time, the insurance wants pictures of all things wrong and cancer screening only. Its so frustrating. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

Re: Worried and Frustrated

ladymusician, I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I don't know much about your particular situation, but if you are not satisfied with your Gyn, maybe it's time to find another one. At least you may want to get a second opinion. My doctor is a Gyn/Oncologist and he takes these things very seriously. My fibroids were benign thank goodness. Maybe it is time for you to find another Gyn if you are not comfortable with yours. At least you could get a second opinion.

Good luck!

Re: Worried and Frustrated

I would definitely find another gyno. You may need to see a few before you find the right one. I gyno hopped for years before I found one that took me serious. I knew all the pain wasn't in my head. I had my hysterectomy just a few days ago and am very much looking forward to a pain free life after I recover. You may not need a hysterectomy now, but you do need a doctor that knows how to treat endo properly. Maybe see if you can find an endo specialist near you. A second opinion never hurts!

Re: Worried and Frustrated

Sorry for all the trouble you have been having, it can be hard at 30 and everyone tells you you are too young for the surgery. I'm turning 30 next month and I was scared my gyno wouldn't take me seriously because of my age. Try a new gyno and see if you can get one that understands.
