filling of fullness

Hi All,
Here's a crazy question.
I have this feeling of fullness,it's always there sometimes more then other times,
When I eat it gets worse,so my meals are kept small. It's way to uncomfortable if I eat too much.
I know it's from the enlarged uterus and large fibroids,
Please tell me this will be gone soon after surgery, and do others feel this too.
Thanks all,
Liliy

filling of fullness

Hi
Yes, I can answer this question. For years and recently more so in the past few months I have wondered why I am gaining so much weight (look 6 months preg sometimes) in my abdomen. I do weigh a few more pounds than I should, but it is obvious when I look in the mirror sideways that this is not fat. My gyn ordered an ultrasound again this Jan. to check on the size of fibroids and uterus. Those findings were about a 4 month pregnant size uterus with at least 2 tennis ball sized fibroids. When I decided this was enough and finally got the courage to agree to a hyst, she was amazed to find how much bigger my uterus was since Jan. 04. Her comment was "you will have a flatter stomach when this is done"! Those words are music to my ears and make me feel vindicated that I have made the right decision to get this out of me.

I am scheduled for Mon, Oct. 11 for a SAH with a longer than normal incision due to the large size. I am scared to death. I had my first breakdown tonight in church while praying for a good surgery and recovery. It really hit hard. I have a Rx for valium which helps take the edge off, but I don't know if I can handle saying goodbye to DH on Monday morning. I don't want to go under while crying!.

Anyway to answer your question of fullness...Yes, Yes, Yes. I feel like I just ate Thanksgiving Day Dinner at almost every meal, and I have been trying to keep it light. Very uncomfortable these days. I hope that I get immediate relief because right now I am so worried about post op pain that I question my decision. I hope you get relief, and know that you are not alone.

See you on the other side.

Pat

filling of fullness

Good morning ladies !! I am also new to this group, so bear with me.

I'm also feeling the uncomfortable feeling of fullness all the time. AND, I feel like I'm 4 months pregnant. All this makes sense now that I have read everyone's posts! My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 13. My doc informed me on Friday that due to the size of the numerous fibroids, that he may have to do an up and down incision, instead of across. That has me pretty scared.

Has anyone else had this type of incision?

filling of fullness

My stomach has never been flat. Even when I weighed 105lbs I still had rolls.

When the doctor diagnosed the fibroids (well, the third time I heard the diagnosis) he added that he could see them pushing my belly out. I went "ah ha!" Now I get why it seems like all my pants are tight, and not just right at the waistband but it feels like I fill my pants up below the waist.

But looking at my profile I can't say I can see it exactly. It does seem like if I stretch the rolls away that the muscle below sticks out extra, but it's not like I'm walking down the street and anybody's gonna say I look pregnant or anything.

Other than all that boring stuff, I really think I can feel the fullness. I swear something is poking my belly button from the inside. I ride my bike to work and some days it feels like in that riding position I can feel something crunching around, moving around in there. Crunching like rocks or sand or something.
