dumb question

Ok I have a dumb question but what is a pre op appt? I have to see my gyno tomorrow to make a surgery date is this the pre op appt? Sorry for the stupid question but my mind is going in circles waiting for a date.

It is simple. Most doctors want to see their patients before surgery date. At this time they give you all sorts of information. They tell you when, where, how,what and why.

It is a great appointment as you ought to get all your questions answered at this time-if you have questions ask them! Make a list.

You have a pre-op consultation with your dr. Thats what you are doing tomorrow. At that time you will set your date, and mostlikely discuss how the surgery will be done, what all will be going, pain management, after surgery and sutff like that.

Then you will be given a day and time that you have to go to the hospital for whatever tests your dr wants doen before surgery. Get preregistered to the hospital, and get your instruction list of Do's and Don'ts before surgery.

YEs thank you very much now im clearer on that whole thing.

My Pre-op appointment is Friday, at this appointment I will have the blood work, Chest xray, EKG, Urine tests. Then on Monday I have an appointment with the Dr. At that he will go over my test results and the sugery (April 29th). He'll answer any last min questions.
