Remedies for vaginal soreness after diagnostic surgery?

I’m very new here and a pinch desperate for some advice if anyone can help.

Just had a diagnostic surgery today to see if a hysterectomy is the right way to go for me. I’m a bit of a medical anomaly- my uterus spontaneously contracts as if I’m in labor for as yet unknown reasons. I also have pretty severe vaginismus and despite the anesthesia and pain meds, my vagina is so sore and burns when I pee. I’ve tried a bit of ice to see if that would help and it does a little, but as soon as I move around the pain starts back up.

Is there any gentle home remedy I can try or is it just a waiting game?

Welcome! Are you allowed to put anything in your vagina or are you still healing? If you can use something vaginal I use a bit of coconut oil to soothe the pain. I also use a cbd product if it's legal in your state. It's Miss Buds vaginal ointment. I have also found otc meds like Cystex helps.

Thank you!!! I didn’t even think about coconut oil and had no idea a cbd product for the area even existed. I’ll have to check the discharge instructions again since I'm still a little fuzzy from the anesthesia. But seriously, thank you so much, you’re a lifesaver!
