vertical incision questions

I was just told yesterday that I will need a vertical incision. Is the healing much worse than horizontal?
I have a 2 c-sect horizontal incisions. After loosing about 80 lbs then gaining back about 20 I have a lot of extra skin (with a bottom shelf where my prior scars are healed) and a little fluff, am I going to have a nicely formed buttocks stomach?? Will I still be able to wear jeans or will the button and zipper irritate me? Can I still use the swelly belly band?
Any stories will be helpful as I cannot find much info about this stuff at all.

I am new to this, too, with a TAH/BSO and 18cm mass scheduled to come out on 3/25 with a vertical incision. First posted yesterday. Also just down the street from you in Donelson. So, can't offer you any comfort about the surgery or incision, but will look forward to sharing stories with you as we go along. I'm scared, but calm (at least today). Check out posts from Amrenger. I will check that out, thank you. I used to go to school in Donelson. LOL
I am also scheduled for TAH/ possible BSO, but definatly my right ovary out with a 13 cm mass.
