I'm sick, is it going to put off my surgery?

Saturday I woke up with a horrible sore throat. I thought I would make it until Tuesday so that I could go see the doc. Monday I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to the ER. I drove myself, thinking it would be better if we weren't fighting our 2 kids in the ER. Well, I was diagnosed with Strep. The ER doc gave me 3 shots. An antiobiodic, steriod, and morphine. Then they ask if I am driving myself. I had to have my DH come get me, and get a wrecker to come get my car. Thankfully I work for a boby shop that has a wrecker. I didn't have to pay the tow bill.
Anyway, will this cause my surgery to be delayed?

I would think if you have plenty of antibiotics before the surgery, you'll be fine. Your date is still 9/22 right? That's 2 weeks away. Call your gyno and make sure they are aware of this but I am quite sure that if the antibiotics work, you should be good to go before then.

I think you have plenty of time to get well before your surgery. As the other (((sister))) said, though -- can't hurt to check, especially to make your aware that you're now on antibiotics.

Lots of juice, lots of , repeat as necessary!

Hi, Mine was cancelled today due to being sick. I would think being that yours is on the 22nd. you'd be fine by then. That is still a couple weeks from now.

Take care and hope you feel better by then. Good luck.

Hugs
