So confused

Within the last week i have been diagnosed with uterine fibroids [14 week uterus size], endometriosis and very large cysts/nodules on both ovaries. Doctor wants to do total hysterectomy but im only 36, i am done with having kids but i am so confused. I am going for a second opinion next week but ultimitaly i know it will be up to me.

What if i wait and see? What if there is cancer? what if i regret it, just needed to vent and get it out. thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Joesphine,

If you are afraid of cancer, you may want to schedule an appointment with a gynocologic oncologist. They will see you even if you have not been diagnosed with cancer or have suspected cancer.

Your GYN most likely knows if anything looks like cancer but it can't hurt to get another opinon.

I had a bunch of fibroids and a strong history of ovarian cancer in my family and went to a gynonc for a second opinion.

I don't know your symptoms but you don't have to do anything with what you have if it is not bothering you and it does not look like cancer.

I had the cysts and fibroids but not the endomtrosis and they put me on the BC pill and that held things off for 10 years.

Good luck

Connie

So confused

For the last 2 weeks i have been in terrible pain, back pain, cramping, heavy bleeding, have missed 5 days of work and not slept very well. I have been having slight problems for the last 6 months but in the last month symptoms have gotten a lot worse, im afraid this will be a ongoing thing every month or every few months.
