Can't Get Up On Own 2 days post partial hysterectomy - pain

I'm 2 days post partial hysterectomy and sitting up is tough but I absolutely can't get out of bed or off a seat on my own and it is excruciating. I can't even get up to pee by myself.Lots of pain . When will this get better?

The first night i screamed when my boyfriend lowered me down into bed. The gas hurt so bad. After the gas was gone it was so much better. He had to pull me out of bed for a few days.

Where is your pain? Is it surgery site pain or shoulders? Are you taking your pain meds on schedule versus waiting to be in pain?

Both gas and incision pain when move abdomen but imcisions looks clean. Schedule medication. Taking vicodin now tried the ibuprofen first. Wanted to prescribe percocebut makes me nauseous.

The first few days were rough for me. It does get better! Don't hesitate to call your doctor, though. I called mine a lot at first. My diaphragm hurt so much the first two or three nights, and I had no idea why until she told me that the CO2 does that. It's normal and goes away. It helps to get an explanation for the pain from your doc.
I had to sleep in a recliner the first several nights, and I needed help to get up and down.
The time will pass, and the pain will diminish. Soon, you'll be all healed up!

the lap gas pain can be really painful. mine was gone by 48 hours but my dr kept me inpatient on IV pain meds for those two days. if your pain is increasing, call your dr.

If the pain continues to be excruciating - please call your doctor. Perhaps you would respond better to a different pain med - but please don’t continue to suffer. Let your own doctor decide what course of action is best for you. You need peace of mind and decent rest. Your body needs to concentrate on healing and not fighting pain.
