sex before hyster

Once we found out i needed a hyster our sex life has stopped?!? My husband does mot touch me any more but when i ask whags going on he says nothing i wrong
Am i crazy has this happened to anyone else

I am so sorry your DH has become distant from you. But you are not alone. I think that sometimes men have a hard time with this. They are fixers at heart, and they cannot fix this. This frustrates them, and they withdraw. This is the absolute last thing we need at this time.

My DH and I had the worst fights in the days before my surgery. It was terrible and stressful for an already stressful time.

I hope you DH comes back out of his shell for you, and you can start being intimate again. I am sure he loves you, he just may need some time to digest this. Maybe if he reads something on the surgery it will help. Here is a web site just for men: Mister HysterSisters.

For me it was the other way around, my husband wanted it and I wanted nothing to do with it. I was too worked up over the surgery.

Thank you both for your imput. It helps just getting it out. I know he loves me. I just need want him to open up. And i have this fear that if he is like this now how will he be after

Maybe once it is over, and you are out of surgery and are safe, he will feel better and not be so worried. Than maybe you will have our old DH back.

Men can have a hard time handling this.... I frequently think that we are stronger than they are.

My husband was the same way, he did not want to have sex. He was afraid he might hurt me,

We didn't have sex either. My Husband knew that I was having some pain and discomfort when I had my OBGYN exams so he understood that sex caused me some discomfort at this point as well. Plus I really wasn't in the frame of mind before the surgery. I just pray when we do have sex again it will be OK. Truth be told I am nervous for the both of us. I guess time will tell..

I want to have sex -- cause I am not sure how it will be after surgery -- -- I need that intimacy to help me be ok with loosing part of what I feel makes me a woman -- I need to know -- that I am wanted -- And he is too afraid to hurt me -- but I am not hurting any more now than 6 months ago.... Sex is so much more than copulation -- it is the way I often am made to feel safe and cherished and loved -- all things I need alot right now-- and As much as I understand his feelings -it is frustrating
