Re: Lonely in Massachusetts

Actually, I feel FABULOUS, I hope you are doing well too. I live in Tiverton. I have not had any complications and the surgery went well. Of course I have had those moments that I've overdone it...I think we all do at sometime or another during our recovery....learning just how little to do before its way too much. I woke up this tuesday (5 weeks to the day) and couldnt believe how fantastic I felt. No more pains, twinges, pulls, etc. So I took it almost extra easy, lol, for fear that this feeling of euphoria would be gone. The next morning, again, I felt great so I cleaned the living room. BTW, we actually have a floor in the livingroom, lol, I hadnt seen it in such a long time I thought clothes, books, toys, papers etc were the norm. Hope you're doing well too.

Re: Lonely in Massachusetts

Ah Ha! I lived on the other side of Narragansett bay growing up! I know Tiverton well. I am also astounded by how well i feel...although I must admit to overdoing it more than once in the last week. I know that in order to make it through the first week back at school I should rest but I have such a hard time sitting still...even at my age!I remember the days when my floors looked like a toys-r-us ad! I am so glad you are feeling great, it gives me hope...although, I am still glad i did this......

Re: Lonely in Massachusetts

Yes, it is very easy to overdue it. We seem to feel good, so we decide to pick up a dish and wash it..next thing we know we are taking a 3 hr nap...lol. Just remember to take it easy. We only have one chance to hear right. I really took it easy as often as I could/can. Are you a student or a teacher? I still look at the calendar, evaluate what "needs" to get done and then pick and choose from there so I can make it through the day with all the running around, dinners, straightening up, dishes, laundry etc...same ole same ole in any house. I think I was quite nieve (sorry sp?), about how I should/would feel after surgery. Probably helped me a little in recovery mode. Have a great weekend. Talk soon.

Hi Ladies,
Glad to know that there are people from MA. I live on the south shore. I am going to have my surgery at <admin>. The count down starts today. One week. I am glad to hear that there is a lite at the end of this painful tunnel I feel that I am in.

Nice to meet you, bendalou.
Do you know what kind of surgery you will have? I went through the Pelvic Floor Disorders Unit @ MGH. I just reached my 7-week post-op mark today.
