Diverticulosis anyone and having a hysterectomy

Anyone out there having a LAVH and have diverticulosis. Just hoping those "trocars" that they use will not adversely affect my colon or bowels. Just nervous about everything right now I guess. Surgery is June 24th just looking at all possible complications.

I have diverticulosis as well and had a TAH/BSO with no problems. You should definitely tell your dr about this though ahead of time. I did have the gas pain and pain with bowel movement for about a week after, but nothing unbearable. Good luck to you!

What is trocars? I was told with my last colonoscopy I had a small area of diverticulosis.

Trocars are the instruments that they use to perform a laparascopy hysterectomy thru the abdominal incisions
