Hey!Just wanted to say I'm home. Had my surgery Monday, ended up having my ovaries removed also, due to endomentriosis. feeling pretty crappy but I think that's to be expected. I had trouble peeing after they took out the cath because I think they took it out too soon. I came home yesterday with a cath, but it was bothering me so much and not draining properly, so I removed it last night, after talking to a dr, of course. That part feels better. Now I'm just in pain. My family, and especially DH is taking great care of me and I consider myself very lucky.
I expect to be much better next week.

Hi- I'm home too! Just wanted to say that everything went well- gyn and urologist said that everything could not have got any better than it did. Had TVH (kept my ovaries) and bladder sling. I have been urinating ALOT, but the uroligist office said that is normal due to all the swelling going on. I am glad it is over and I'm on the road to recovery. Have tons of help from DH, family and friends. Best wishes to all my fellow sisters.

My hyst was Tuesday and I came home Wednesday about noon. I feel like I'm doing great. I had a LSH done and just my uterus and fallopian tubes were removed, along with lots of adhesions. My ovaries were healthy so they were able to leave those. I'm sore but my soreness is nothing like the pain I had in my abdomen before surgery. I have very minimal pain and was able to sleep on both of my sides last night so I was really happy for that...I am not a back sleeper.
I hope everyone heals quickly and has minimal to no pain!

Had TAH on monday. Home on Thursday. I lost lots of blood during the operation, Dr. recommended the transfusion. I refused and been home recovering. Feel very weak, never how enegy consuming it was to simply shower. Pain is alomost not there but the pressure is definitely worse at the end of the day. Anyone used swelly band belly? I was wondering if it will help from some of this-comfort. thnks

I got home yesterday from the castle. Ended up having a vaginal hyst with removal of uterus and cervix. Felt pretty good in hospital except for developing a fever on day after surgery. Started on antibiotic but fever never really went away.
Came home feeling pretty good but think I over-did it yesterday. Kids were excited to see me.. tried to sit up at table for dinner. Feeling pretty sore today. Can't sit up for more than 30 minutes at a time. Thank goodness for my laptop in bed!

I came home Wed after LAVH on Tuesday am. Surgery took less than 1 hour (the doctor expected 1 1/2 hours). He left my ovaries and said that my bladder looked really good so no bladder tact. Still sore and I get tired easy but did go to Wal-Mart last night. No restrictions other than not lifting, pulling or pushing on anything. I have had trouble of knowing when my bladder is empty but the dr said that was normal.
