The appt. is Scheduled......

The appt. is scheduled for the 27th. It is the most difficult thing I think I have done in along time. Now that I have made the appt it is time I prepare myself for everything. Hopefully with some rational thinking. I would like to thank everyone on this site for helping me come to this point. My Dr. has suggested this surgery over a year ago and I have kept putting it off. He has been very understanding and patient with me. I found this site about a month ago. I couldn't have done it without it. Thank you all for your posts and helpful advice. I felt like I was the only one feeling so afraid and anxious. I do have a couple of questions....
Are their any special excercises I should be doing?
I have two pre-op appts. When I made the appt. It was all I could do not to cry so I forgot to ask what they will consist of.
I remember her saying that I will have a physical exam during the second pre-op. I want to ask if any of his patients have died during this surgery but I'm afraid of the answer.
.I've also started reading the obiturarys, Haven't come across one yet that has said died from hysterectomy surgery.
Right now my major concern is cleaning my house and getting things ready.
I've already been on a couple shopping sprees in case I never go again. I hate to see what my credit card bill will look like after this month.
looking forward to feeling like a new me after the healing is over. Then again, I wonder too what if I don't feel any different afterwards and I'm like this anyway.
Here I go, I'm going to start my cleaning now.

Thanks

The appt. is Scheduled......

Hey, I'm proud of you! I know how it must have been to make that appointment!

P.S. I have worked in a hospital for 13 years. To my knowledge nobody here has ever died from a hysterectomy.

Thank you,
I feel much, much better now!
I know this month is going to fly by but I will keep my focus on the recovery rather than the surgery itself.
Thanks!
