got my date........

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh i got my date for a total hystroectomy....June 30th and there going to do a (lavh) on me and i was like wait i thought sents i was a bigger gurl you had to do a abdominal nope he said eh going to do the other i was like cool ok....and there concerned about my uterus it's huge he said 4 timesz the size it suppose to be i was like hmmm why he don't know ( he's not my reg dr) so either way yeahhhh im happy im going to be out fo pain ...i could have went for june 2nd but i wanted to be with my son for the rest of the school yr...he's going to take everything becasue my family has a high risk of cancer in it and then im going to be put on estrogen(sp) so my ? is now what do i do? im waiting for my papers to come i just went today for the consiltation so i go about 1-2 weeks before surgery for the blood work and stuff so and im only going to have a 1 night stay possible not even that so now again ?'s r what do i do for this situation i planed myself for a abdomal.....what's the recovery time and when can i start to do anything? do i need a sitter do i need a maid a helper what not ....... ty for lisening to me and i will be waiting for replys ty ahead of time......

I'm very happy for you! It sounds like you really are a LIW. If you can aford help, Just do it. If you read alot of posts here you'll see that no matter which surery you have you will need time to heal. Depending on how old your child is, you might need help there to. Or at least make arangment to keep him busy. Keep us posted. Good luck!
