All dressed up and nowhere to go!

Had my 6 week check up on Thursday and said go ahead and DTD. BUT my DH hasn't been home long enough to do anything but sleep. I tried to get him started before work today while I was cutting his hair, but he had to take a shower and run. Something tells me that his anxiety over hurting me is getting the better of him. I'll just take it easy until he gets home at midnight and try to act like it's not bothering me. You'd think after being together forever he wouldn't be so shy about it.

Life is better though....even with all the remaining after effects
NO BLEEDING and NO PERIODS EVER AGAIN

Look how far we've made it! Happy Healing

Congratulations to all my hystersisters who have gone back to work. I'm 7 weeks post-op and beginning to feel great again. This morning it was a gorgeous day here in Chicagoland so I walked to McDonald's (about 1/2 mile up and back) for breakfast. What a treat! It was so wonderful to go out and get my muscles moving again, feel the warm sunshine on my body, and hear some birds chirp!

I cannot stress how helpful this wonderful website was (and is), in guiding me throughout this journey. I'm sure we can all remember our very first "post" and who the very first ANGEL was to respond. I'm going to give it back and be someone else's angel. Hugs to all!

You sound like me! I loved the heck out of being home. Didn't miss work a bit. People kept asking, "aren't you getting bored?"

NOPE! Not a single bit. I got to sew, scrapbook, read, relax, nap when I wanted to, grocery shop during the day when it isn't crowded. It would take me a VERY long time to get bored!

But... such is life. Back to reality.

Amen sisters. I didn't miss work @ HP either (don't tell them I said so please). I got to spend quality time with my DH, nap, have mani's and pedi's and I began to scrapbook my life (even had 10 hours of lessons). I rather like it and will continue doing it.

Best of luck to everyone.....

Sounds like we had an identical day. I too live in Chicago and did lunch at 'Mickey D's' walking about the same distance. It felt good to walk a bit and I can feel my legs beginning to tone up again. I had gotten alittle flabby during my time off not to mention I had already been on summer break since June before all this drama started. I'm starting to pick my weight back up which is great.

After lunch, it was so hot I ended up napping for a few hours. Decided to put in some grades and grade papers so I wouldn't ruin my day off tomorrow and I could lounge around on Columbus Day.

Hi I just returned from my 6 week post op. I will return to work on 22 October two more weeks to go. I will then be on light duty for another two weeks. After that the doctor said I should be good to go with no restrictions. I am still having some pain but it is nothing like the pain I had before. Will spend the two weeks doing some walking and getting ready for my return to work. Hugs to everyone the support has been great I am so glad I found this site.
