New and Nervous - Need advice about what to expect

I also had a hyst..for two large fibroids. Before my hyst, I did (3) months of lupron shots to shrink my fibroids enough for my LSH, a less invasive hyst. I remember right before my surgery thinking...that I did not feel half-bad. My fibroids had shrunk...relieving my pelivc pressure and my periods had stopped. I just had to remind myself that lupron was a band-aid on my problem with my fibroids...a temporary fix. My Dr. told me that if I changed my mind and I did not go ahead with my hyst...that when the lupron was out of my system...my fibroids would most likely have grown back.

I had my LSH and it is still one of the * best* things I ever did for my long term gyneo health. My hyst gave me my quality of life back.

well everyone it's done I started bleeding and they couldn't stop it so the worst is over I had a lap. supercervical...I got to keep both of my ovaries and of course my cervix...i had a great team of doctors I am home recovering I am kinda sore but not taking any pain meds...thanks for the great advice and support
