If I stand for too long my uterus gets angry and I get some discomfort in my lower back and a little cramping. I'm only taking Tylenol once a day. The only hormone side affect I notice is that I get really sleepy/drowsy about 3 in the afternoon and have to drink coffee to stay awake. I've been sleeping great at night! I do have this occasional sensation of knowing something is in my uterus . I just tell myself it's all good and don't think about it . so far so good . Let me know how your insertion goes tomorrow. I will be sending prayers your way.

I'm so happy it's going so well for you! I have a feeling that I'm going to be the same way about thinking there is something in there. Lol. I'll have to remind myself to forget about it.
Yes, tomorrow is my day and thanks for the prayers. So much power in that.
I will update when I get back.

Mirena- Tell me your experience...
Getting ready to go.... Took Advil, a shower and eating breakfast. Of course, had my coffee already.
I'm on day 3 of my period and am seriously gushing so I hope that doesn't ruin everything. Ugh..... My poor doctor....
I'll update soon.

Mirena- Tell me your experience...
Thanks Elizabeth!
I'm back and doing well. The worst part was the clamp on my cervix so in other words, it's was not bad at all. I'm not cramping at all right now. My lower back hurts a tad but I think that's more from my tilted uterus and the clamp. I'm so relieved!!

Yay!! I'm glad you are home and doing well. Expect some cramps and weird sensations. Rest and baby yourself!

Yes, I do get random cramps and it seems it's a little worse now. My bleeding picked up again but I'm on day 3 of my period so I would expect that.
How are your cramps?

Mirena- Tell me your experience...
My cramps are much better. I get an occasional cramp that lasts for ten seconds and then it passes. If I stand for any length of time my lower back hurts. The first day was the worst for me . Last night the skin around my lady parts got irritated and swollen . I still have it today . I have some serious irritation going on! No idea if it's from using pads non stop or From the hormones. Hoping it passes soon. I hope your period slows down quickly!!
Hugs

How are you doing today ? I'm curious if the Mirena will slow down your period for you . My irritation is much better today. Used hydrocortisone and it helped . I also am able to go without a pad...yay! I am definitely feeling more drowsiness from the hormone progesterone always makes me drowsy...yay for coffee
Hugs

Lorene,
Hi there! I'm so happy to hear the irritation went down for you AND that you dont have to wear a pad!! Yippee!!
I'm still bleeding but it isn't horrible like I normally have. I am passing some clots which is making me nervous that it may push the mirena out. My doctor didn't think it was going to be an issue though. These clots aren't as big as the ones I normally see so that's good.
I think the progesterone is affecting me as well. This sounds weird but my face feels tingly and kind of numb. I also feel very slow... I know there is an adjustment period so I'm hoping for both of us that it will get better over some time.
I'm also kind of moody but it's not like I'm psycho or anything. Lol. My husband may disagree though.
I am still cramping a little but it's not horrible either.
Thanks for checking in and I think it's really awesome that we are going through this together. It helps to know that I'm not alone.

I love that we are going through it together too! The first night my neck got really itchy for a few hours but then it was gone . Every new symptom is a little scary but every medication has side effects. When my doctor put mine in I was at the end of my period and he said I had clots in my vagina still. ??? I am not due for my next period until around the 24th. I was thinking the same thing....if it is as heavy as usual the IUD is going to get washed out in the gushes! I just keep praying every day and keep myself distracted. Did your doctor say anything about taking a bath? I have only been showering because I am not sure about infection risk with a bath. My doctor didn't say anything . I have been drinking tons of water because I think any hormone in my system will get flushed out easier!
Hugs
Lorene
I almost forgot...I'm not moody but I've cried every day over something! and I am normally NOT a crier !!
