sharp acute pain

I was wondering if anyone out there with my history ever experienced very, very sharp pains in their abdomen. I am having these pains and never have before. they are on my right side about 1 inch above my C-section incision scar. I have a fyborid outside my uterus onthe right sied but in the back-I dont know if that could be it or a symptom of adenomyosis.

Hi Ritaboo

I am so sorry you are having this pain. I'm sure it could be caused by any number of things. But being that it is a sharp pain and something that has not been a normal symptom for you in the past please call your doctor immediately. It is not worth waiting and wondering.
Please call the doctor and let us know what they determine.
Sending you lot's of

First... call your dr and see what he says...

Second.. this is my story of late... I have had pain in that area since I was 18... but every since I was told I had to have a hysterectomy... the pain has been more intense and more sharp and more often. When I told my husband this.. he offered this analogy (sp?)...

Suddenly you look and you have a deep stratch on your leg... you never noticed it before.. but it is deep and there is dried blood down you leg... all of a sudden.. because you noticed it.. it starts to hurt.

He thinks our brains make us suddenly aware of the pain more. (not that we are dramatizing it.. but that when we just had to live with it.. our bodies just cover the pain better)

I hope that makes sense??

But you really should call your dr.. especially if you have never experienced that type of pain.

to you!

Good thinking

I like the way your husband thinks. Since my doc said I need the surgery, I am much more aware of all the little aches and pains. He told me I would be surprised at how much better I will feel, then started mentioning stuff like lower back ache, abdominal pressure, etc. I have all of that, but just kind of accepted it all.

Now I am so aware of every little twinge of pain--and so looking forward to it all being gone.

Thanks for sharing.
