Laparoscopy for dysplasia?

I had carcinoma in situ removed with conization in 1998. He took a lot. Now I am diagnosed with high grade dysplasia and am recommended a hysterectomy. Doc says I am not a candidate for vaginal hysterectomy due to lack of cervical tissue. She recommends laparoscopy, but I am concerned. Is this a safe procedure with dysplasia, or should I ask for open hysterectomy?

Then you might want to get a second opinion maybe a Gyn/Oncologist. Someone who will better explain it to you especially if your doctor is not making it clear. With something so final like a hysterectomy a second opinion is always good.
