Re: 12 hours left. Shaking!

It's so great to read that we aren't alone. I'll have my TAH in 7 days. I'll be thinking of you all tonight and you'll be in my prayers!

Re: 12 hours left. Shaking!

If I can offer some words of encouragement... I had LAVH on July 7. I felt so good on my first day home I went off the pain meds entirely (stuck to Motrin). I had little to no pain (just pressure) just 2 days post op. (Although, I may have a high pain tolerance after dealing with fibroids and endo for 8 years!) I was walking (lightly) in a couple of days. I even went back to work for a meeting 5 days post-op. Totally back to work in 2 weeks. I might have come back sooner but I never get to take time off - so I enjoyed it! Having said that - dont over do it! I walked waayyy too far this week and am back to huge swelly belly and pressure. Good luck. I know it is scary - but the LAVH is really the way to go!

Waiting in preop. There's a problem in the case before me and it will be at least 3 before they start, and they called me to come in early. I've been really calm but now the tears are starting.

Re: 12 hours left. Shaking!

The delay was frustrating, but worth it. I had to a little extra done myself- but it stayed a lapro!!!!! I have been up going to the restroom since 2 am and amazed at how much better I feel than after my other surgeries. I can sit up by myself and I should go home in a few hours. I am very happy.
I hope everyone else is doing well.
