Has anyone noticed any difference in their eyes since taking the shot I know that there are several side effects from it and it effects everyone differently it could possibly be related to something else but figured that I would post the question first to see if I'm the only one before spending all that money to see another Dr. just to find out it's a side effect?

The only eye-related side effect I've read about is 'pink eye' and that, apparently, is only associated with anaemia. I didn't have any eye symptoms.

As you say, everyone is different ... and eye problems are not something to ignore. Would you actually have to see 'another' doctor? I'm sure the one who prescribed the drug would be able to put your mind at rest.

Good luck.

It is very possible that Lupron is having some affect on your eyes. I have a very rare cornea condition that I was actually born with, but it did not cause me any trouble until I started on all the various hormone treatments my doctor has been trying for my gyn problems. When things started getting bad my opthamologist sent me to a cornea specialist. He told me that hormones can have a huge affect on our eyes, and especially can effect eye lubrication. If you are having dry-eye troubles, I recommend you stay away from Visine, only use artifical tears unless a doctor tells you different. Visine can make dry-eye much worse. I waited much too long to have my eyes checked, please don't make the same mistake.

OMG! I've been using visine like crazy my eyes are very dry and one is often very blurry and a little sensitive to direct sunlight and sometimes there is a very tiny grayish dot that in can see when looking at things from time to time but nothing in the mirror and the headaches are awful. I've never had problems with my eyes and have 20/20 vision so I never got any vision insurance so this will mean another doctor and another bill WOW !!!! when does it end

As your surgery is on Feb 20th, have you had your last shot? I'm hoping that your symptoms will disappear when the drug wears off, if that's what's causing the problems. I found that all the symptoms had gone by about 6 weeks after the last shot.

exhausted00,

First... step away from the Visine. You should definitely get yourself some artificial tears - any brand will do - and use them several times a day. They will put back the lubrication that the Lupron and the Visine have stripped from your eyes. Hopefully you will notice an improvement in the discomfort almost immediately.

Also, check with your insurance company. If you see an opthamologist (as opposed to an optometrist) it may be covered under your medical plan. Mine is, I have separate cards for my vision and medical insurances and I use the medical one for him.

I actually have several different eye problems and the gray dot is very familiar to me. It sounds like a floater that hasn't come loose yet. You'll need to see a doctor to make sure, but if that is what's going on it is nothing to worry about (just annoying).

Good luck. I've dealt with eye problems my entire life and I know how irritating they can be.

Thanks for the advise
