Mood swings from endo/adeno???
Hello,
I am considering (very seriously) a hyst so I am in the research phase. I was reading some posts and came across a couple talking about mood swings. I never really thought about it, but sometimes I feel as though I am going crazy. I get mad about the weirdest things or I will go through crying phases too. Sometimes it is to the point where I snap at my hubbie or son. I hate acting like that because I always feel ridiculous later. I always think "what is wrong with me???". have any of you had this experience. Did it get better after the hyst??

Mood swings from endo/adeno???
Hi and
Good for you for doing your research before committing to a hysterectomy! You will find tons of useful information and lots of support here at Hystersisters.
I think we all suffer from "some" degree of mood swings, likely having to do with hormonal fluctuations. Some have it much worse than others. I've always been one to get very moody just before my period....but that was probably due to all the pain I was in.
Now that I've had my hyst, I no longer experience menstrual pain, and therefore, I don't have my crazy "bad moods" at the same time each month. That's not to say I'm now "nice" all the time.....it's just that now my bad moods can come at any time of the month!

emotional before period
I always had terrible mood swings and was so nasty before my period I was afraid of hurting someone.I noticed that after hysterctomy I too am not nice all of the time but feel I can control anger a little better. I am not sure how I will be later on for I just had it done aug 6 2004. I was going to walk out of the hospital the day of my surgery and if I did I would not have gone back.I was debating. It is a tough decision,be sure to do what you feel best for you not everyone else like I did.
