Positive pregnancy test at 51 and TVH due on April 20

OMG What a shock!!!!!

I thought I was late due to the stress and worry about my forthcoming procedure but yesterday I thought I would do a test just to be sure before going to my pre op on Friday OMG I had barely finished doing the test when it showed positive

We already have 5 children, between 9 - 26. Got an appointment with the doctors in the morning so watch this space ladies

I'm also 51 and just had my TAH. Can't imagine getting that kind of news prior to surgery. What a shock indeed. Best of luck to you.

Thank you so much - when I spoke to a doc friend yesterday he was gobsmacked to say the least! feel I have to laugh or I will cry!

Wow! From going from being prepared for surgery to being pregnant, that would be a shocker. Hang in there.

Wow that is a shocker I cannot imagine being prepared for this surgery then finding out I was pregnant Maybe a blessing in disguise Keep us posted ((((HUGS)))) to you. I did that when I had my tubes tied I went for preadmisison testing and the dr called and told me we had to cancel do to me being pregnant. HAd my last daughter (she is almost 10) then had the tubal when she was 8 weeks old.

Is there any chance it could be a false pregnancy - that the hormones could read positive but not be the case? Whatever the case, I hope it's what you want. I have a friend whose wife just gave birth at 50 - but they had help.
