BEST & WORST of today? Go!

Best: got my female orange tabby to cuddle on my lap this morning... she will lay with or next to, but usually not on someone.

Worst: feeling really bored and lacking motivation to work on scrapbook pages that I got supplies to do.

I'm 5 days post op, and I LOVE the idea of this thread!
Best: My husband trying his best to see to my every need, and my children (12 and 8) showing so much concern, asking me every day how I am feeling.
Worst: after it seemed that I was almost done with the bleeding (hyst with a&p repair), it seems as if another leak has sprung. Didn't do anything I wasn't supposed to, so I am really bummed by this. Watching it for now, as it is still light.

Best:I finally went poop poop..lol(1 week and three days post op). Worst... Bad gas pains

Best: Having my father-in-law and 3 year old thank me for dinner

Worst: Having my 9 and 6 year olds keep asking for things and my husband being almost finished eating before I had even dished up my plate

I am so glad to hear of all of the husbands that have been so supportive of us patients.
I tend to hurt really badly around 7:00 every night...like I cannot get in bed fast enough. Pace yourself. I know it's hard to do.

Post op 4 weeks
Worst thing.....left side sweetly painful belly.. .maybe I done too much yesterday.
Best thing. ...taking my daughter with my husband to visit her friend in hospital ...she took an overdose and is coming off a vent....they both had the most amazing smiles which I have not seen in months.

My sweet kitty cat has been my best companion thru recovery. I truly believe they have a sense that we are not feeling well.
I had books to read and movies on the DVR to watch and I have not done any of that. I cannot seem to focus on any one thing for too long.

Best...had some energy and actually got laundry done and made dinner.
Worst..backache now that's irritating me

I have no doubt about that. Years back I had a flu bug over a weekend and the only time I got up was to go to the bathroom. The two cats we had at that time each slept right next to me, one on each side like they were guarding me. The only time they were gone was to eat or use the litter box. I've had other cats over the years do similar things too. They know and understand much more than we give them credit for, as do dogs.
