Could be endo instead of Pelvic Congestion

I have posted asking questions about pelvic congestion coming back. I have since found out that once all of the organs are removed it cannot come back. I also found out that I had endo. I don't remember the surgeon telling me that he found endo. Anyone out there have endo come back 2-3 years post op? I have had horrible low back pain since last summer and all along thought it was just coming from my back. I am afraid to have a lap and find another dead end. I have really bad problems with general anethesia and I know the dr will want to do a lap. Anyone know if they can do a lap under epidural?

kayteeg,
Endo can come back if you had it previously. It's my understanding that if any minute fragments of endo are left behind that they can continue to grow. If you didn't have endo before, I'm not sure about it suddenly appearing years down the road.

We have some good resources on endo Endo Resources

Why do you think that Pelvic Congestion Syndrome cannot come back after a hyst?

I've never had an epidural so I'm not sure if it is an option for a lap or not. I think that is a good question to ask your doctor.

Affirmative on the prior endo

Hi Kim,

I just found out yesterday that I had endo at the time of my tvh bso. I don't remember him telling me that I had endo. It was a really big mess in there. I am not looking forward to more surgery but It would be worth it to be free of pain. I just wish there was a way to diagnose for sure without surgery. I am so afraid of another dead end to find the source of my pain.

Did you get my PM?
