No Date: Waiting for drs call

I'm just wondering how long it takes for the dr to schedule the surgery? I was told 3/12/13 . I will need my uterus and cervix taken out . There to large and leaning on my bladder!! To much pain and pressure!!!

Mine was scheduled within 4 days .. But i think it depends on your doc/surgeon availability, hospital surgical schedule and beds, and your personal situation. I was actually happy i had only a little time to prepare, less time to stress!!

I got scheduled about 3 and a half weeks out. I think it all depends on your surgeon and how backed up they are and also if its necessary to do it sooner or later. Hope you get good news that its soon! I wish I would t have had so much time to stress about everything!

It took 4 working days to get a date. It took 6 working days for the billing clerk to call me with an estimate. I hope this helps.

At one surgeons office it took them 2 weeks to get back to me with a date, and at another hospital where I went for a second opinion they scheduled it right there before I checked out. Both are major Harvard University teaching hospitals, but they function so differently.

I have a tentative date of 4/1/13 but I go see Dr.Fylstra on 3/20 at MUSC in Charleston. His receptionist said usually after the consult he schedules them that day and its usually a week or so wait. I may get in earlier
