How long is hospital stay?

I am just wondering what is the average for the hospital stay? My parents have volunteered to take my little one for while I am in the hospital (providing the gyno will do the surgery, still don't know, won't find out till 25th of Jan) so my hubby doesn't have to take his vacation time till I am at home. I would kinda like to give my mom an idea of how long she'll have my little one. Thanks in Advance!

I had a complete abdominal hyster...I was in the hospital 2 days. Just depends an how fast you recover, everyone is different. Wish you the best~

I had a TVH/BSO and I was in the hospital 2 days, had surgery on Monday and home on Wednesday.

I had a TAH/BSO on December 1. I came home on Dec. 3. Good luck to you!

It depends on which procedure you are having done and if there are any other procedures being done - like I had a cystocele repair also. For the daVinci I would have been out the afternoon of the procedure. However, because of the cystocele repair I was required to stay overnight. I was there on a 23 hour hold. For some people a TAH can be as long as 3-4 days. That's if there are no complications.

im having lavh/bso and am only scheduled for 23 hours

I am having SAH with bladder sling tomorrow and was told to plan on two nights in the hospital.

I had a LAVH/BSO and was told usually 2 nights. When Dr. came for morning checkup she said I would probably go home that night, and when she came in that evening she sent me home. I stayed 24 hrs exactly from time I got out of surgery. Hope this helps you some, it just depends on type of surgery and how you are feeling/getting around during hospital stay, also different Drs. have different requirements.

I had a TVH last Wed 9 Dec......I came home from hospital on Sunday morning... seems they keep you longer here in Oz than the USA....

I had a SAH BSO (horizontal incision). My surgery was on a Monday morning and I went home late (10 pm) on Wednesday night.
