Re: Weight loss after surgery success stories

My dr stressed to me how much losing weight after this surgery and keeping fit means to my cardiovascular health. I will be making sure to exercise. My food choices are not horrible, but I don't see them changing that much, just exercising which I have not been able to do for a long time due to pain.

I have gotten extremely heavy. I was so tired all the time that I barely could get out of bed and make something to eat without feeling like I was going to fall over, then would either sit back down on the couch or take a nap. I did not realize that I was so anemic. Since I started high dose iron pills my energy has come back. I just need the pain to go away so I can do more then walk on flat ground for 1/8 mile before hurting so much I can hardly move.

I'm counting on this surgery to help me in more ways than 1. But I'll have to make the effort.

Exactly! My lack of appetite that caused weight loss led to me being sent to a Nutritionist as I was not eating enough to allow my body to heal which contributed to slow healing.

Talk to your doctor about your fears and work out a plan that will be healthy for you.
