Pain med allergy

TAH 1-25. In response to the inserted pain catheters at the incision site, I am allergic to pain meds also. My Dr. implanted the tubes which secrete lidocaine and numb the site. They have to be removed at 72hrs. They helped! I also was told about Merperidine, which is Demerol with phenergan mixed in. They gave me that in the pump and sent me home with pills. The first time in my life I have never thrown up with pain meds. It worked great. Best wishes to you all. After 1 month I feel mostly like my old self again. Lynn
