I'm at work right now and it's horrible. I'm in a lot of pain from the pants and my gun belt. The only good thing is there are 4 of us on tonight so I can basically sit. You should have seen me trying to get into my uniform. Luckily I use to be heavier and had kept the pants. I haven't been in anything besides jammie's and such since 4/3 the day of my surgery. This swellly belly thing has got to end. I feel and look 6 months preg. especially at night. It's amazing how I haven't gained a bit but can't wear my clothes. Pretty depressing. Sure wish I could have taken another week like the Dr. wanted but no SL left so here I am.

Are you a police officer? If so, I'm surprised they are okay with you returning 3 weeks after such a harsh surgery. Seems like it would be such a liability if something happened.

Yeah I am an officer. It would have been especially since I had a note to not qualify tonight from the doctor. So if anything had happened I would have pushed it. The supervisor that told me I had to do this is a male and an idiot. The firearms instructor was good though and kept asking me if I was ok and another supervisor, female, told me to do what I could do and leave it at that. But you bet I would have pushed it. Thanks to everyone who has been helping through all this and good luck to you all.

I had surgery two days after you and I can't imagine going back to work this soon. I am a nurse and I plan on asking for two more weeks off at my six week appt. Good luck to you, try your best to take it easy!

I don't know what's wrong with these men supervisors. Mine leaves the building so I can't go to lunch, tho he knows I'm on an eight hour restriction. I'm at eight weeks, and weigh the same as before my TAH, but by midday I've got swelly belly and tight pants. When does the pregnant look go away?
