Gynae wants more tests!!!!

Hi Ladies,

Wanted to update you on how it went this morning at the hospital.

Saw my Gynae and explained that I was having pain again. (now 9 weeks post op). Gave her as much info as I could, Painful BM, painful PU, migraine, nausea etc, etc. In other words the same symptoms I had pre op!!!!

She said that as I started to get the pain again at 5-6 weeks post op, she felt it was too soon for adhesions or endometriosis returning.

She has ordered a scan on my bladder and kidneys in the next couple of weeks, and given me IBS medication!!! Why do they always revert to that? :hair:

I got the feeling that she didn't believe me. I knew she wouldn't. But I know, thanks to the encouragement of you wonderful ladies, that I AM NOT IMAGINING IT!!!!

She also said that it could be pain from the haematoma that I had 1 week post op, as they cause inflamation and scarring. I am not to return to work yet, but I am allowed to drive again, and have sex!!!

Whoopee!!! Can't say that I feel ready for that bit!

I go back to see her on 25th June, and hopefully by then, she will have the results of the scan. If that comes up clear then she may have to "go in " again to have a look.

I can't help feeling down about all this. I thought by now everything would be hunky dory and I would have my life back. Money is getting tight, with no income for me and three kids to feed, not to mention 2 cats!!! Godd job DH didn't marry me for money!!!!!

So, I have to grin and bear it, keep taking the pain relief and the IBS medication and wait!!!

I will keep you posted as to what happns. Bye for now!

Gynae wants more tests!!!!

Hi! Sorry you are having such a hard time of things. I had a tah/bso removed about 1 year ago now. I still feel where I had the hemoetoma on my right side especially when i do mega stairs at work. My doctor said that the blood had to be reabsorbed into the body. I also have had pains in my bowel since my surgery. After I have a bowel in the morning I am fine...this sure kills it for sleeping in on weekends...(LOL) Now my DH gets breakfast in bed instead of me. I am going to see a specialist about the pain on Tuesday so I will let you know. Do you take hormones? I'm sorry I am new to this site. I still feel pulling in my right side also but the doctor said my incision must be more to the right. I had to have a vertical incision because of my crohn's disease. She thought I would have adhesions from the crohn's so she was scared to do the bikini cut...but guess what no adhesions..what are the chances....(L) Now that my mom has colorectum cancer they are going to put me throught the grinder and I don't like anyone playing with my backdoor......good luck and If you want to know how my checkup with the doc went feel free to email me...( Isaid Tues) I mean the 29th my how days run together when you are having fun. I won't even start with this short term memory thing......Take care...hugs..........Sorry I am not a doctor...we sure could use one at this site.....

Well as i'm reading these post boy do we woman have problems ,with our bowels. Thank goodness I'm not alone .
I too have bowel problems! I'v had problems before my surgery! I was told that it would be all better after the surgery :circle:. yaa right .
I have to take mom everynight before bed yuk! but i go now! Right after surgery i could'nt go at all so i thank god i go now! But i feel like yuk all the time i need to go back!
The sad thing is ,that we should be more informed on whats likely to happen after our surgery which i was'nt. I Knew nothing about adhesions until a little while ago!
I hope you get some answers and please keep me informed.
