pelvic congestion?

hi been getting low down pain for about 2 months-had it on and off but slightly for years now more sever. 15 months since periods stopped. thought may be fibroid-diag in 2009 Doc thinks it won't have grown as was tiny. worried about ovarian cyst -doc says i don't need a scan! read about ovarian vein or pelvic congestion and it does fit my symptoms. pain is in low back and goes down leg too. just dull ache at day-but more cramp thru night after i have got up to urinate and lay back down.
anyone else have anything like this.

Hi there, I am new to this site and I was diagnosed with pcs and pcos years ago. Have you had a pelvic sonogram or laparoscopy procedure to determine if you have vericose veins in your pelvic region? I had to have a huge cyst removed from my ovary two years ago, had a embolization procedure last Feb for the pcs. But, I am in need of a repeat embolization because the pain came back worse than the first and I have more veins that need coils on them. Hope you feel better.

No specialist won't re do the scan -i had one 3 years ago-thinking now of just getting one off the internet and booking it. He is wanting to do a test with dye thru my kidney instead! I want to make sure ovary is ok-I am sure my symptoms more or less point to veins on ovary or poss cyst. Does the pain you get come and go? Mine is worse when I wake up early morn and need to urinate then get back to bed and the pain comes on in my side quite severe.

I just re-read your first message, are you saying you haven't had a period in over a year?!! What is this kidney test supposed to find out for your doctor? My pain is pretty much constant all day and night, when I was at the doctor the other day and laid on my back on the table it hurt so bad I wanted to cry. The pain I get is in my upper thigh connecting to my pelvis, the crease right by the pelvic bone. My back hurts often, I never have painful urination though.

Yes no periods for about 15 months-they just stopped aged 49. he thinks i amy have adhesions as may have had endo for years-always v painful periods etc and secondary infertility.
Not actual pain at urination-it seems to come on a short while after this strange cramp pain in low left side. can be shut a dull ache in the day -but get the low back pain and down the left leg too

It doesn't sound like your doctors are doing all that's necessary to get this handled. I live at the doctors office and I am only 28 years old.

What symptoms did you have with your ovarian cyst-as I am still convinced this is now what I have.

Well, the main issues with Polycystic ovarian syndrome aka pcos, is slight facial hair, abdominal pain, absent or a huge difference in periods and infertility. I have all of these, although the facial hair is not really bad, only if you are in my face will you see some but its not a lot. I have seen some women have so much hair that they have to shave. Weight gain is also another symptom that I have as well.

Nigella have you gotten a second opinion? Might be worth it. my PCS wasn't diagnosed till after my hyster. I had sever back pain before hand, and while I still get a little now and then, it is soooo much better. It was debilitating before. I have a very tender tummy, more so this past week, and my legs have been aching, so not at all sure if it's related to the PCS or something else. Hope you get some answers soon. Living in pain is horrible!
