Anyone else dreaming about the no-no's?

First couple nights, I dreamt that my family was in trouble, but I couldn't lift or carry anybody, and...it was a nightmare really! Next night I dreamt I was petsitting my friends VERY overweight cat, and I was trying to get her to the vet without lifting her. (herding a cat is impossible, lol). Last night, I dreamt that I was trying to single-handedly carry a sofa around a lake -- until I realized "Yikes! I'm not supposed to carry things!". I think some of it is anxiety over doing something wrong and screwing up my recovery. But dang, these are vivid and kind of annoying dreams. I'd blame narcotics if I could, lol..,

Re: Anyone else dreaming about the no-no's?

I have had vivid dreams especially right after surgery. I do not remember them now but I do remember the feelings I know I dreamed of my family and it was overwhelming sense of not being able to help them....for me I think it is or was the morphine they had me on....do they have an effect on your healing possibly but maybe only from the emotional state they put us in. They will pass as you get stronger and feel less helpless...

Re: Anyone else dreaming about the no-no's?

Oh, yes... it's an aftereffect of all the lovely meds you get in the hospital. When I was first home from the hospital I still had my Foley catheter in. One night I was asleep and was actually dreaming of using the bathroom (obviously it was on my mind). In my dream, I finished and reached out for the toilet paper... and woke up, my cat's tail in my hand and this look on his face that said "what do you think you're doing?".

The weird vivid dreams will pass.

s,
-Linda

Oooo, laughing hurts Surferbabe.

I usually don't remember my dreams and still don't. I have a feeling mine would be about endlessly cleaning up after everyone since that is normally what I do and can't now.

I had to find out what you were all posting. I usually post on the 7th Nov - 14th Nov page.
We are at the stage of dreaming the big "O", and getting our sex drive back! Shame we can't do anything about it yet.
